a. Clean immediately after use.
b. Clean with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth.
c. Dry immediately after washing.
d. Oil frequently after washing (I prefer butcher block oil), Apply a small drop off oil to the sides of the blade and wipe over the entire blade and handle. Gently remove access oil with a paper towel. Be careful near the edge!
e. Do not let it “soak” in the sink.
f. NEVER PUT IN THE DISHWASHER!!

I make all custom orders on a first come first served basis. however I will try to accommodate your order if needed by a certain date.

a. If you have experience sharpening knives follow your normal sharpening procedures.
b. Avoid drag through carbide sharpeners. I put a convex edge on all of my knives and these sharpeners will flatten the edge bevel resulting in reduced edge life.
c. You can use a sharpening steel to touch up the edge when it is still relatively sharp.
d. You can fix small edge rolls and chips with a set of whetstones (this requires some skill to sharpen well).
e. For the first year of having your knife I will sharpen your knife for free, after the first year I will charge a small fee (currently $5.00 for knives I made). shipping will be the responsibility of the customer.
f. g. A leather strop should always follow sharpening.
h. There are lots of good YouTube videos on how to sharpen your knife.

I am not currently offering classes. My shop is too small to teach effectively. I may offer a 1 on 1 classes in the future.
